I open my eyes in Georgia. Morgan Lee stands before me, eyes bloodshot, fury simmering beneath the surface. Looks like the badge in Lucy’s hand wasn’t the key—it’s Morgan.
Once, Morgan begged me to rebel. I refused, and forced him to his death. I won’t make that mistake again.
Morgan breaks the silence. "Got anything else to say?" He’s angry—hurt.
He turns to leave. "Morgan," I call.
"No need," he snaps. "You and I are not the same. You only know how to lead troops; you’ll die a violent death sooner or later."
What he says—I’ve already lived. I regret not listening to him before.
